The Girl Ruru Miyanagi (
Plot Summary[]
Many eons ago, Magu Menueku prepares to unleash a powerful attack against the Holy Knights, upon word from his Minions of Chaos. But while he does this, a Holy Knight surmises that there may still be time before he can attack, and uses a Holy Sealing Crystal to stop him.
In the present, at a remote beachside town, Ruru Miyanagi is digging through the sand, and comes up on the same crystal, which she believes a valuable jewel. Stuck in her moment of proudness for finding it, she does not notice Ren cycling by and finding her, and asks what she is going. Ruru says that she is digging for clams, but Ren just replies that she should eat at his house if she is short on money.
She is not worried, however, as she believes that the crystal she found will make her rich. Ren thinks that it is probably made of glass, and leaves her to her business. Upon closer examination, the crystal is cracked. Panicking, she believes that the crystal will lose value with the defect and tries to fix the problem by pushing the two sides together. Instead, the crystal cracks in two, releasing Magu.
But, he is a much smaller form, and Magu notices, asking if it was because of the sealing crystal. He does not notice Ruru tossing him in the air, to do a jump serve on him, sending him into the ocean. She wonders if that was a talking octopus, or jellyfish, or even a sea spirit. Her theory was disproved, as Magu seemed to be drowning, and she promptly saves him.
Magu realises he is unable to move in his current form, and then Ruru asks what he is. He answers that what he is cannot be described and he should be thought of as a higher being, who the humans used to call 'The God of Destruction', Magu Menueku. Ruru is unable to pronounce his name and decides to go with 'Magu-chan' instead. The god finds this naming dumb and thinks shes lacks intellegence, but that means it will be easy to take advantage of her.
In days of old, higher being controlled the world and humans feared and revered them as the gods of chaos, but they then opposed him and the Holy Knights sealed him away in the ocean for nearly six-hundred years. She realises that she was previously concerned with the gem and tries to fix it, but Magu destroys it. Nothing is able to stop his return, but Ruru punches him in anger. She is about to go home, but Magu fell unconscious from her punch and having such a weak body, and she takes him home to tend to his weakness.
Later, he wakes up in a basin of hot water in Ruru's home. She is relieved that she did not become a god slaughterer, but Magu says that he is immortal and she could never defeat him. That being said, the sealing has weakened him greatly and he has to recover his true form to get all his power back.
